Description: Up for sale is a very nice Watercolor (maybe pen & other) on board by Well-Listed Artist, William Edwin Fager. Signed "FAGER" in the bottom left hand corner. William Edwin Fager (1897 Indiana - 1973). He gained renown in Hollywood for the originally designed furniture and accessories that he provided to many movie productions, including furniture for the Rock Hudson and Doris Day movie Pillow Talk . He was active in the Chicago area beginning around 1925. It is professionally framed & under glass in a brown wooden frame. It is approximately 18 1/2" x 22 1/2". The frame has nicks/chips stains, and scratches and some discoloring. The piece itself is approximately 11 1/2" x 15 1/2". It is wired on the back and ready to hang in any living space. NOTE: Previous owners were from a smoking home and the new owner may want to replace the frames. Overall, it is in Good Condition. It does have some light browning and this piece has some foxing and spotting. It has not been examined outside of the glass/frame. Because of the glass, it was hard to photo. Please ignore the shadow and reflections in the glass. It is an excellent investment and a superb example of this great artist's work - a perfect piece for any collector! Other dings here and there. Please email with questions and see my store for other great items.
