The Neo Classical relief on top is of 3 Greek woman tending to Pegasus. There is a white floral border on the top edge of the cover. The 4 side reliefs are all Roman/Greek children or Roman/Greek cherubs. One is two cherubs, one laying down, the other standing with a dog next to him all next to a tree, one is 4 children dancing to a cherub's horn blowing with a dog curled up sleeping, one is 2 woman playing musical instruments with a man sitting conducting with two cherubs at his feet, and the last is two children playing with a dog near a tree stump. There are four decorative accents between each relief. There are carved markings on the bottom. One reads either '50 or '58', 'MADE IN ENGLAND', 'WEDGEWOOD' and a symbol. There is another deeper carved marking that may be a symbol. On the inside of the lid is a carved 'GT' and a carved symbol. (See photos.) Measures approx 2 1/2" W at the narrowest x 3" L x 2" H. As is. Very Good, ? Vintage Condition. No cracks or crazing. There is a an approx 1/4" chip on the back cover. Normal vintage wear & tear.
