WDCC TINKER BELL "Pixie in Peril" PETER PAN Disney Figurine 2005 Members Only

Description: THIS CAPTIVATING SCULPTURE OF TINKER BELL APPEARING TO FLOAT IN MID-AIR IS A MUST-HAVE FOR YOUR PETER PAN OR DISNEY COLLECTION! This WDCC figurine features Tinker Bell captured in a lantern from the beloved Disney classic Peter Pan. The figurine was released in 2005 as a members-only piece for the Walt Disney Collector's Society. The piece is made from high-quality materials and captures the essence of the character perfectly. It's a must-have for any Disney collector or fan of the movie. The figurine is approximately 10 1/4" tall. It comes in its original box and packaging along with a Certificate of Authenticity. The piece was expertly sculpted by Disney Artist Kent Melton in 2005. THIS ITEM HAS NEVER BEEN USED OR DISPLAYED. It was opened and inspected when I first got it in 2005, but I never had a chance to actually display it with my other WDCC pieces. Like many of the Disney collectibles I acquired over the years, I had no room to display them all. So I would usually buy them, open them quickly to inspect, and then store them in a closet for years. (That wasn't the intent, just how it happened.) Here's a little about Peter Pan I found on Wikipedia: Peter Pan is a 1953 American animated adventure fantasy film produced in 1952 by Walt Disney Productions and released by RKO Radio Pictures. Based on J. M. Barrie's 1904 play Peter Pan, or the Boy Who Wouldn't Grow Up, the film was directed by Hamilton Luske, Clyde Geronimi, and Wilfred Jackson. Featuring the voices of Bobby Driscoll, Kathryn Beaumont, Hans Conried, and Bill Thompson, the film's plot follows Wendy Darling and her two brothers, who meet the never-growing-up Peter Pan and travel with him to the island of Never Land to stay young, where they also have to face Peter's archenemy, Captain Hook. Here's a little about the Walt Disney Classics Collection from their website: The Classics Collection started in 1992 with three scenes, Bambi, Cinderella, and Fantasia's Sorcerer Apprentice. Many other series have since been introduced. Some figurines are limited, and some have been retired. Some of these figurines have risen high on the secondary market. The figurines are made of porcelain, and the process is similar to that use to make Hummel figurines. Individual pieces are molded, put together, and fired in an oven. Then they are painted and fired again. Each figurine is marked on the bottom, signifying the year it was produced. The marks represent significant milestones in Disney history. The figurines with the first year mark are usually the most desirable.
