These comics are old and tanned, but generally can be handled with ease. Some dates are more tanned than others. There are some signs the bottom of the comic is sometimes routed (signature/date sometimes partially cut off). Margins may be narrow or even absent. Starting April 9th, the comic title is overlaid in the lower left corner. This resulted in the comic in this area being slightly routed. The top and bottom margin is very narrow or absent from this date on through the end of the year. We also made some notes of some date specific issues (we tried to avoid making too many notes, and instead preferred to go the generalized condition notes above). This should serve as a guide to the condition of the set, it is possible that we have not caught everything: INDIVIDUAL DATE CONDITION NOTES Date CONDITION 1-3 Printing void in the middle of the comic. 1-7 Part of the right side of the comic is torn off and missing (maybe 5-6 mm into the comic at max extent). 1-10 No right margin. 1-15 A couple of printing voids in the middle of the comic. The comic is also printed over a crease/wrinkle through the middle of the comic. 1-31 Small piece torn out and missing from bottom left corner. 2-6 About 2.4 cm tear on the right side. 5-3 The top left corner is repaired with semi-transparent tissue paper on the front side. 5-4 Left side repaired with transparent tissue on the front side. 5-8 Left side repaired with transparent tissue on the front side. 5-9 Left side repaired with transparent tissue on the front side. 5-25 Printing is a bit fainter on the right side. 5-27 About 3.4 cm tear on the right side. The top right side is almost torn off. 5-29 There are a few tiny tears in the right margin. 5-31 About 9 mm tear on the right side. 6-8 About 8 mm tear on the right side. 6-10 About 1.2 cm tear on the right side. 6-11 About 1.1 cm tear on the right side. 6-18 Series of small binding holes in the right margin. 6-20 The bottom is completely cut off the comic, but present for repair (about 1 cm across the bottom). 6-22 Printing is a bit lighter on the right side. 7-10 About 1.3 cm tear on the right side. 7-31 About 9 mm tear on the right side. The printing quality is also slightly lower on the right side. 9-21 Small tear in the lower right corner. The corner is almost torn off. 9-24 Right reverse side is repaired with a tissue paper that has made it thick. 10-4 Tiny tear on the right side. 10-12 Right front side repaired with semi-transparent tissue. This has made the right side of the comic thick. 10-16 Large piece was previously torn off of the right side. Now repaired with tape on the back (tear line visible). 10-24 Right side repaired with tape on the back side. 11-26 Small piece missing from the right side (maybe 2-3 mm into the comic at the maximum). 11-29 Right reverse side is repaired with a tissue paper that has made it thick. 11-30 Printing quality is a little lower on the left side. 12-23 Small piece missing from the right side (maybe 2-3 mm into the comic at the maximum).
