Description: Up for auction is an impressive, new, HO Walthers Cornerstone Series Structural Kit, #933-3078, for a Vehicle Tire Plant. This easy-to-build 3 story, industrial plant kit builds out into an impressive imposing structure. The model incorporates the very common curtain wall construction which allows it to fit in any era from the 1920s to the present. Walthers has molded most of the parts in realistic colors requiring less painting. I would still paint the brick work Brick Red and do some weathering to give this model a "used" look. An interesting detail is the loading area which goes throught building. Note the stacks and water tacks on the rooftop. Perhaps the most distinctive feature is the huge Black silo for storing the Carbon Black used in coloring the rubber. This building seems huge but really does not take up that much room. Its footprint is 13-3/16 inch long by 8-11/16 inch wide by 11-7/8 inch high. This industrial plant can be versatile serving as a chemical plant, plastics plant, food processor, paint plant, etc. Take a good look. What you see is what you get!
