Description: For your consideration is a RARE Set consisting of a Sterling Silver, circa 1940's Walter Lampl (Victorian, Bohemian?) Pearl Drop & Crystal Necklace and Earring Set. The necklace would probably be considered a choker since it's approx. 15" long. The earrings are approx. 1" long x approx. 5/8" wide. The total weight is approximately 29.5 grams. This set was purchased by me about 30-35 years ago from an estate sale and is still in excellent vintage/antique condition. The round clear crystals sparkle brilliantly as they encircle the necklace. The crystals are both inverted tear drop and round on the screw-back pearl earrings. The pearls are a light cream color. On the clasp and set in a row of 4 are light green tinted crystals. The pearls still have a nice luminescence, the sign of a great jewelry maker. This set has not been cleaned by me personally, but you may wish to do so after purchase. This is a gift for a truly special person in your life or someone who appreciates designer jewelry, jewelry that's fit for a princess. I've recently taken a few more photos on various surfaces. This set of one necklace and two pair of earrings will be sent to you insured for full value. If you wish to purchase this set, please take into consideration that I do not accept returns. Please read: If you purchase this set, I've decided to include a pair of antique circa 1930's Gold Filled Walter Lampl Art Deco Caged Faux Pearl screw-back Bridal Earrings (see last two photos). Thank you for viewing these items and please check out my other listings. Some info about Walter Lampl found online, and I quote: "This ingenious and charismatic American rose from humble origins to become one of the 20th Century’s preeminent producers of both precious and costume jewellery, with headquarters in prestigious Fifth Avenue. Walter was born into poverty in 1890s New York, but was ambitious from an early age, selling newspapers in the street as a child and, in his teens, watch chains that he created from long lengths of chain that he had purchased. And so was born his passion for making jewelry. He eventually commissioned several female designers whose work he oversaw and and approved from page to product. His quality jewelry included colorful gemstone designs, unique charms, and popular pins. Multiple designs originated as gifts for his beloved wife Sylvia (whom he called "Toots"), later evolving into designs available to the rest of his clientele." "Founded in 1921, The Lampl Company NY designed particularly unique and often whimsical jewelry and vanity items such as a combined cigarette case and make-up compact with mirror set with gems, consistent with the firm’s maxim, ‘Creators of the Unusual, As Usual’. The company catered for a wide spectrum of tastes and budgets, but the quality of craftsmanship was the same with every piece, regardless of the value of its elements, whether they be silver or platinum, coral or diamond. Walter Lampl pieces are still fashionable today and have become quite collectible!"
