Description: These are two etchings by Walter Geikie.He was a remarkably artist being deaf and dumb. Produced about 180 years ago and published in book form in 1844, these first edition prints is a rare find that showcases the Scottish artist's exceptional talent. The pictures are quite small being just three inches high and two inches .The outer size is four inches by three inches.They are printed on one piece of paper. They are in outstanding condition bearing mind it is getting on for being almost 200 years old.The full titles are:- "A Jumping Jack & Auld Friend's. The art print is a wonderful representation of the 1840s period. The production technique of etching adds depth and texture to the print, making it a unique and original piece. The item was published by John Stewart who had a office in Glasgow.
