Description: This is a very early vintage WAHL lever fill fountain pen. The small ring-top size was often referred to as a purse pen. The pen measures 3 3/4 inches long (capped). The black chased hard rubber (BCHR) pen has a screw mount cap with no clip. The 14k gold nib is marked 'WAHL PEN 2" and looks to be a fine size. The base of the pen is marked "52". The pen is untested and requires a new ink sac. The body of the pen has a clear imprint reading "WAHL PEN MADE IN CHICAGO U.S.A.". There is a small hairline crack at the base of the cap that can be felt when rubbing a finger nail over it (see photo). Otherwise the pen is in good condition.
