Description: Selling a rebuilt short shifter linkage set for a mk1 Volkswagen 020 5-Speed Manual transmission. -OEM Parts have been sand blasted and powder coated black. (pivot has been treated with super blue)-Bronze bushings (1 Large shaft, 2 Small pivot bolts)-New covered ball end rod linkages -Delrin shuttle ball and Delrin shaft bushing-Clean and relubricated shift base-New 8mm lock bolts for bracket and main lever bolt Video included of other shifter I have rebuilt and running the Delrin bushings. Shifts felt great. Solid notchy engagement, with minimal play at the ends. Always easy to find reverse and 1st gear (when properly adjusted, 15mm) Selling a restored shift linkage and short throw shifter kit along with brackets pulled from a 1983 mk1 Volkswagen cabriolet with 020 5-speed manual transmission. In good usable condition with normal wear and tear. All OEM brackets and lever arms have been reused. All under the hood, hardware and brackets have has been sandblasted raw and have been powder coated black. The main shift rod and shaft for the large lever have been cleaned and treated with super blueing agent. The small pivot bolts on the shifter, lever and transmission bracket are in good shape and all of the bushings have been replaced with custom machined bronze bushings. Relay ball and rod bushing are custom machined delrin balls. All linkages have been replaced with metal ball end. Shifter base has been disassembled, base was powder coated, parts cleaned, and relubed upon assembly. Not included in kit is the bracket off of the transmission to mount the pivot. The shoulder bolt for that mount is included and pivots on the bronze bushings nicely. You will need to reuse hardware on your transmission and rod bushing bracket.
