Description: Welcome to our listing for a used VW CLASSIC BEETLE T1/TYPE 1 GENUINE 'VDO' 100MPH SPEEDO (c. Dec 1971), original part # 113957023K. Genuine Made in Germany VDO part. The front bezel has had the paint removed round the edge for some reason, so ideally needs touching in with black paint? It does have a few light marks on the glass (and dust behind) but is visually in good condition for its 52+ years old so not new. It was for the range of flat screen beetles dated August 1971 - end of German production (NOT 1303 bugs). We have no way of testing this other than to see the speedo needle reacts when the input at the back is turned (which it did quite smoothly but would benefit from lubrication) and the mileometer rotates ok as you can see between pictures 1 and 2. The fuel gauge is from 4-82 so not original to the speedo. Not perfect, but still very usable. Great for a survivor bug. Made in Germany, see the last pic. Untested further, no warranty.
