Description: Vtg U.S. Navy Military Issue Men's Peacoat 100% Wool Dark Blue Early 1960's Size 36. Very heavy Peacoat Weighs approx 5lbs. Double-breasted, hip-length coat with an oversized collar made of Midnight Blue wool. Label on inside says Contract No. 3829-0.1.-1091-C-59. This coat was manufactured in the early 1960's for the Navy. This coat was issued to a Sailor whose name is stenciled on the inside in two spots along with his service number.100% wool coat with liner. Plastic anchor button closure. Good overall vintage condition considering it is over 60 years old and it's made of wool. Some wear spots and staining on shell. Edges and button holes show wear. Liner shows wear, seam separation and several wear spots. One button loose from coat. See all pictures. Tag on inside says size 36. Approx measurements are as follows: Collar seam to cuff 31" Shoulder seam to cuff 25" Pit to cuff 18" Front pit to pit flat 20" Back shoulder seam to shoulder seam flat 17" Back collar seam to bottom edge 31" Up around the inside of the neck area shows wear.
