Description: OVERVIEW: Here’s a c1970 sterling silver ring by S’Paliu of Córdoba, Spain. I believe this older piece to be the work of José González Espaliú rather than Joaquín, who directs the company today and has a more minimalist approach to design. This ring features a brutal design that looks like a crystal formation thrusting up from the ground. A striking and jaggedly sculptural look. Much to my dismay, it is truly an in-between size for me and I cannot wear it. When José González Espaliú established his workshop in the 1950s, he shook up the conservative silver scene in Córdoba with his avant-garde designs.
