Description: This listing is for a vintage RARE Sears Roebuck SR AM / FM Stereo System that not only includes a radio, but it also features a record player (phono), a double cassette tape player, and an 8-track player. Both cassette tape players work well (although the right one seems to have more volume than the left one). The radio works fantastic! I have not tested the 8- track player but assume it also works. As far as the record player goes, it works wonderfully with a little TLC. Sometimes the "Phono" button has to be pressed down hard and held in order to get the sound to come out at a consistent and clear volume. As you can see in the video, sometimes when I let off on the button, the sound quality lessons. I am not sure exactly what is going on with this button, but I generally found a way to get this issue to go away by fidgeting with the button. It seemed to help if I quickly and firmly tapped the button rather than pushed it in a slow and relaxed manner. If you are just willing to give some tender, loving care to this button for the record player when you start playing records, it will then usually keep playing beautifully and consistently on its own. An expert could probably replace or repair this button for added perfection, but it is not necessary as long as one is fine showing some patience and care towards it and willing to fidget a bit with it at the start of every use. This is model 132.91941450 and comes with two speakers which both work well and have tremendous volume potential. As you can see in the 3rd through 7th photos, there are some minor cosmetic signs of use on this record player and the included speakers but nothing major enough to affect how this Stereo system functions.
