Description: This superb mid-century lamp is made of heavy antique-toned brass. The style is Chinoiserie (Oriental) in the manner of the famous (notorious) lamp-designer James Mont. Three of the segments feature quasi-Chinese characters in relief against a hammered background; one is openwork in a “birdcage” pattern. The lamp measures 22" to the top of the socket, and 32.5" to the top of the finial. (The finial is not original to the lamp but is stylistically compatible.). The base is 7" in its maximum diameter. The lamp is fully functional. It takes one standard (E26) light-bulb (not included). The cord is brown, with a non-polarized plug. The harp and finial will be removed for safe shipping.
