This big beautiful pot is handmade American Studio Pottery, made by a master potter for Freimarck Pottery. High fired stoneware with a gray glaze speckled with iron spots (a happy sign of firing in a gas kiln) and modernistic hand painted design in shades of Navy blue, deep raspberry fading to a rich brown.Artist was born in 1942 and primarily worked at Freimarck Pottery in Manquin, Virginia. He is known for his "high fired functional stoneware pottery" and his work is included in the American Museum of Ceramic Art in Pomona, CASee "Item Specifics" above for all descriptive information.
