The top of box is padded fabric printed with a girl reading. Box is made of wood that is painted in gold, finished with an aged brown glaze. The interior is red velveteen and wood. Music box winds on bottom, knob on back to hold while winding. Box has a removable tray with 4 compartments of the same material. Very good condition, a few nicks. Dimensions approx.: 11 1/2" Length, 8 1/4" Wide, 5" Height. Made in Japan In good used condition. Some very minor surface wear consistent with its age.
