Description: 20 pictures seems excessive, and my apologies for the sun glare in the top right, but how else to show this complete boxed double deck of vintage Piatnik Vienna Coronet playing cards, 24K gold-tipped and plastic coated, made in Austria by Ferdinand Piatnik & Sons. These are very stylish decks, very elegant, showing various Royals and notables on the face cards (Louis XIV and Marie Antoinette among them) and exhibiting a vintage look and patina of age that is really quite entrancing and captivating. The leatherette-look box is solidly intact and teal green in color with silver foil trim; that foil is peeling up the least bit at the hinge back (see photo). Decks bear either the green design or red-brown design on their backs (see photos). Short pieces of white ribbon aid in removing the card decks from the box. Cards are in very good shape, clean and odor-free, and from a smoke-free home, yet are of course offered here "as-is." It should be noted that the ten of hearts on the red-brown deck does carry a fine crease across the card left to right (not shown in the photos).
