Description: Vtg Hand Made Oak Split Basket Oval 12" x 13"x 5.5" 15"T Davis Macks Creek MissouriAfter doing some research, I was able to determine that Davis Baskets, also known as the Basket King is now closed, but at one time was one of the few remaining basket makers in the Ozarks. The owner had been in business for over 60 years. The side of the handle is marked with the following:Hand-Made White OakBy Davis Baskets???(can't read the 3 letters) Creek, Missouri 65786.The basket is used and a bit dirty on the inside but I did not see any broken splints. The basket portion measures about 12 x 13 x 5/5 inches and the handle measures about 15 inches tall. Please be sure to look at the pictures for more details.
