Description: Set of 12 Vintage wooden toy-shaped ornaments in their original cardboard box, marked German Democratic Republic (East Germany - 1949-1980). The ornaments include a train, truck, rocking horse, roly-poly clown, top, rolling pin, mushroom, lute or stringed instrument, apple, drum, hobby stick horse, and bell. I believe they are hand-painted. The ornaments and the original cardboard box are in good vintage condition. There is a clear piece of film that allows you to see into the box. It is in good condition though has come unglued from the box lid. Could be easily re-glued if desired. I believe this originally came with an insert to hold the ornaments, but that is missing. GREAT collection of vintage German Christmas ornaments. Not shiny and polished like modern day -- these are a more primitive style. Very cute and authentic! No damage or repairs.
