Description: Vtg Dardanelle Dog Pillow Pet w Music Box VIDEO Dardanelle Plush Rare Pre-Dakin * I believe this may be a rare pre-Dakin Dardenelle plush * Tag reads Dardenelle Co, Pillow Pets, Lindsay Calif. * It meastures12 inches long. * From my research, I saw that Dakin acquired Dardenelle in 1964, and that Dardenelle had manufactured nursery plush dolls before the acquisition. * This is backed by the fact that this has a music box that plays "Rock A Bye Baby", a nursery baby song * This does NOT appear to be a The Pillow Pet of the 1970's, as the 70's pillow pets had completely different tags, included the year on all of them, and had BOTH the Dardanelle and Dakin tag on them (the spelling of Dardenelle changed with an "a" replacing an "e" in the name, too, at that time). * Plush is well worn and loved * Has stains all over * Light blue color has faded * No rips or tears * Music box works perfectly * One edge of the tag has ripped * One tiny hole on inside of stomach area. * See all photos for condition WATCH VIDEO N THE 2ND PHOTO OF THE LISTING TO HEAR THE MUSIC BOX PLAY
