Description: Vtg c 1977 Diaroma 100 Year Commerative Chief Joseph Surrendering Belt Buckle. Infamous Chief surrendering to the US Army Officers actually occurred when Chief Joseph was standing on his two feet. I assume that the horseback riding Chief has more dramatic stereotype effect. This occurred in 1877, marking 100 year anniversary in 1977. Chief Joseph raised his hands and his native language stated the following, "From where the sun now stands, I shall fight no more." Specifications: This brass plated belt buckle is stamped with the manufacturer, MBCI. The belt buckle also declares a stamp, made in USA. Circa 1977. Dimensions: The belt buckle is 3" long 2-3/8" height. Condition and defects: The obverse of the belt buckle has areas where the brass plating has diminished. These areas are indicative in the grayish color. Please review the attached photographs for condition details.
