The high-quality porcelain is extremely durable due to its solid shapes, high edge strength and break resistance. It is triple fired at 1220 Celcius (2220 Fahrenheit) and is dishwasher, oven and microwave safe. BOPLA! was made in Swiss workshops until around 1997, when production was moved abroad. All the items I offer on Etsy are from these first production years, starting in 1993. Only these items have the original green marking. In the early days the variety of BOPLA! was at its peak. My vintage items are real rarities in hard to find color combinations. Over the years colors had been reduced and a lot of the playfulness disappeared. Recently, production of BOPLA! has been completely discontinued.
