Description: Vintage Peruvian Frazadas, these textiles are traditionally used as blankets or bed covers but easily transition as throw rugs or act as unique pieces, draped over the back of a sofa or hung on the wall. These Frazadas are made to last, hearty and strong, constructed to endure. The process in which they are still made can take up to 3 months. The wool is first sheared from farm-raised animals; sheep and alpacas. It is then spun, plied, and dyed from local flora indigenous to the region. These textiles are all woven by hand on a backstrap loom. -55 W x 70 inches. The design has birds and geometric designs in bright beautiful boho colors. No rips or tears. It is vintage and has some normal wear but still in great condition, please review the photos as this is part of the description. Please make sure to be careful of colour fading or bleaching by avoiding direct sunlight and would recommend dry clean only or hand washed with non-bleach detergent.
