Description: Vintage Atsonea Large Round Convex Wall Mirror Gilt Frame Hollywood Regency Style Mid century modern sunburst This beautiful vintage mirror was made by B. Attewell & Sons in Southall, a suburb of London around the late 1940's. The company produced mirrors under their registered trademark name "Atsonea" and had a reputation for elegant, fine quality products. This wall mirror is solid in design, carved with a intricate patterns, and gilded with a soft matte gold color.The mirror itself is heavy, Convex glass. There's a oval shaped brass hanging ring on the back which shows one of the small touches Attewell used: a small "A" incised into its metal backplate. There's also a black and gold metal rectangle on the lower back (very 1940's looking), that reads: "ATSONEA Superior Products Reg. Trade Mark Made In England." This is a handsome eye-catching vintage English mirror, with a restrained Hollywood Regency style that works beautifully with both a formal or more relaxed settings. The mirror is in wonderful condition for its age, with great depth, shine, clarity; and no cracks or chips. The frame is also in Good vintage Condition, with some light wear / chipping around the top edge rim,and the back of frame has some very light surface wear. Frame is approximately 16 inches in diameter.Mirror measures approximately 13 inches in diameter.Frame measures approximately 1.5 inches in depth.
