Description: Gorgeous quilt from Lancaster County, PA. Attributed to the Mennonite Community. Overdyed greens, red and cheddar tiny calico prints make up the front, a tiny red print calico makes up the finely stitched binding, the backing is a brown print. All hand quilted with fine stitching. Thin cotton batting. circa 1880's. A fabulous quality quilt in wonderful condition for the collector. As stated it's museum worthy. Condition Near mint, excellent condition. No fading, no holes, no tears. An area about the size of a quarter was missing in the backing when this was made (shown in the pictures). A small area of light rust staining on the back does not go through to the front. A few tiny stitches in the very center to reinforce at the metting of the fold lines.
