HERE WE HAVE: A vintage Coleman camping lantern! This piece is marked on the side as model 228D. It has a nickel base and big hat top! The base is pretty corroded but the date code looks to be "A 49". This is a two mantle lantern, although I don't have mantles for it. The lantern is green, with a clear, Pyrex glass globe. *8/20/24* CONDITION: Being sold as is, untested! I don't have mantles for it and the tank is empty. There is rust on the piece, particularly to the underside of the base and along the vent holes in the top. Some surface scratches, scuffs, and stains scattered throughout. There are a few dings to the base. Some little spots of enamel loss to the top. The smaller cap on the top seems to sit slightly crookedly. Will come as shown, so please see photos! MEASUREMENTS: Lantern measures approximately 15" tall excluding the bail handle, 9" wide at furthest points and the base has a diameter of about 6". SHIPPING: Calculated.
