The “BURBERRYS’ Made in England” (signature navy blue tags): “Until 1998: The brand was called Burberry’s’ and the tags used to say Burberry’s’ Made in England” - as such this coat dates pre-1998 (this trench has the Burberrys logo on the inside before they dropped the “s” and transitioned to Burberry. *** TAKE NOTE THE LAST TWO PHOTOS*** 1) male wearing the coat is 5’ 11” / 225 lbs The sleeves on the male are a tad short (he wears a 35/36 sleeve length, FYI), but the coat fits just about right 2) female wearing the coat is 5’ 7” / 135lbs The sleeves on the female are way too long as is the coat itself which fits her like an XL Size: XL 42-44 This model will fit an international size XL. Classic military style Burberry coat with shoulder straps, a wide belt, flaps at the front and rear. Made of densely woven cotton and polyester (gabardine). Comfortable to wear with a jacket thanks to the raglan sleeves. Leather buckles on the belt and cuffs in perfect condition. Pockets sewn in such a way that you can reach into a jacket or trouser pocket with depth and button closure. The coat is fully lined in Burberry nova check, pointed collar, taupe satin sleeve lining and has a split hem, backside, that may be buttoned. The tan, black, gray, and red plaid signature pattern is the bread and butter of every Burberrys coat; designed with (4) thin, red lines—(2) of which are horizontal, while the other (2) are vertical; (3) vertical dark lines, along with (3) horizontal gray lines. Together, these lines will form a plaid pattern on a tan backdrop. Collar crafted with 11 ½” stitches for every 1” (2.5 cm) on the collar. Note too that the Burberry name is not stamped on vintage Burberry buttons. Also note the distinctive font of the logo on the plaque tag plaque: the left side of the “U” and the “Y” is slightly wider and the “R” has small tails. Also see that the BURBERRYS’ is in capital letters and includes the symbol of a knight on a horse, looking on the left (the latter are all signs of authenticity). The 2” Wide Belt has (4) lines of stitching going across. Water Resistant: Made from water-repellent cotton gabardine, which has been woven in a way that prevents water from entering the fabric as well as designed to protect you against wind and rain. Mid Weight. Long Length. Shoulder and Sleeve Epaulettes. Lightly Padded Shoulders. Excellent Condition. Burberry coats are luxurious, and tend to cost over $1,000.
