Beautifully made with much hand stitching, this two piece ensemble is a classic Stan Herman design who was with Mr Mort from 1959 to the mid 1960s and is said by “ Vintage Fashion Guild to have been one of the first designers of the era to pair trousers with dresses for a new style look!! Anticipating the 1970s styles! The velvet and satin coat/dress bodice is a wrap with tapered longsleeves, high empire waist with all edges outlined in a crème raised velvet border encased in metallic gold surrounds. Below the high empire bodice is awrap full A line bottom with generous hem, SiBonne lining, with snaps and hook at raised waist for closure. Straight cut flat front trousers with stitched waist seams and interior waist lining mid back zip with hook. This ensemble also perfect for any period production or as a Collectible from the era.
