Description: untitled Vtg 1950s Countess Mara "Trillico" Silver Grey Silk Tie Unique Art Print 53" x 2 7/8" This is a very unusual Countess Mara silk tie from the 1950s. This tie is in excellent used condition. There are no holes or stains. I've never come across a tie with this type of construction to it. It is not bound along the backside, except in the center where the labels are located and sewn in. Also, it does not overlap at all. On the backside there is a beautiful series of period abstractions running the entire length of the backside lining. On the label is the word "Trillico." In the past I've had vintage wide belly ties with naked women printed in the backside linings. These were, I've been told, referred to as "bored ties" back in the day and were a popular gag item. This piece appears to be an unusual, no doubt, designer piece that probably never really took off commercially. Consequently, I have no idea what a fair market price is.
