Description: A box of 2 packages of 1 pair to a package Belle-Sharmeer Whisper Sheer Support Stockings, Size 8 1/2 - 9 Brev (Short), color 920 Woodhue. Made in the USA and date not stated but I am placing them between 1964 and the early 1980s...no bar codes but have zip codes. The stockings are new in the box. The box may have smudges and/or light cosmetic damage. This is New Old Stock from a long closed NC hosiery mill’s storage area. I, personally, went through the storage area and selected these stockings. These were high dollar back then...MSRP $5.00 pair. Although the package translates Brev into Small, I’m translating it into Short. Seems to make more sense that the stocking lengths would come in Short, Average and Tall than Small, Medium, and Tall. That said, it is usually the exposure to heat (such as the dryer) that destroys elastic and nylon over time. Although I maintain a smoke-free and a pet-free studio, I have no control over where items have been previously.
