Description: Vintage 1970's Japanese Woodblock Print - Korean Kitchen in Autumn This charming rural Korean scene depicts group of women preparing rice cakes and soy while a group of men sit in a circle on mats talking and drinking alcohol. The various scenes of under the veranda, rice cakes being made, a girl carrying it as a snack, men drinking alcohol, as well as the children in the background sneaking persimmons from the tree, together make a masterful, interconnected, circular depiction of village life. You can tell it's fall by the pumpkins on the roof and the children picking persimmons. The facial expressions of the characters are vibrant and the colors are excellent. The artist's inscription is at the bottom left.Dimensions: Frame = 17.5 x 22 inches, Print = 11.25 x 16 inchesCondition: The print is bright and colorful with excellent detail and only very mild signs of fading. There is some discoloration at the top of the mat surround (see photos). The frame is clean, sturdy and has good consistent color with only minor dings. The paper seal at the back has been torn and repaired very well and cleanly. There is evidence of rust on the nails and the hanging hardware.
