On the front of the plate is artwork by G. Graudins of a girl and boy in winter clothes with their adorable puppy all singing Christmas carols. There is a little blue bird flying above them. Above the artwork reads "Joy is the song of Christmas" in script, and below reads "Merry Christmas". A beautiful band of holly leaves and berries are on the rim.
