Poole Silver Company was an American silver manufacturing company, active in Taunton, Massachusetts from 1892-1971. The Poole Silver Company was formed in 1892 by George Poole and Edward Roche in Taunton as Poole, Roche & Co., then established as a corporation on May 21, 1895, as an early manufacturer of silver products made with electroplating techniques. In 1946 they opened a sterling silver department, in 1950 the Bristol Silver divison for popular plated hollowware, and in 1964 the brass division. This is a model (#22A) that is often seen with a Bristol marking instead of Poole. Is this still has the Pool marrk on the bottom and the Bristol silver division was created in 1950 I would guess this could dated sometime around the 1940s. Metal is electroplated copper. There’s a really beautiful patina and an especially cool, gray blue corrosion crust that has formed along the line ridges on the outer linings and in some other ridges. CONDITION Obvious patina/rusting. Surface scratching and some bumps of metal. Otherwise in good vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use.
