Description: This patriotic bow brooch is enameled with red, beige-white, and blue over what looks like rhodium plated base metal. It is sprinkled with random rhinestones with a line of rhinestones on the ends of the "ribbons". I estimate the age of this bow to be somewhere around 1940-1942, during the patriotic time before the US entered World War II. The solid feel of the brooch, the finish, and the type of hinge on the pinstem makes me believe that this brooch was made by Coro, though it appears to be unmarked or poorly marked so it cannot be read. The brooch measures about 1 3/4" across by a little over 2 inches long. There is one scrape of the blue enamel on the left side and to the left of that are some bumps of the silvertone edge. The back has crazing or crackling of the finish. Otherwise good vintage condition, consistent with age.
