Description: Vintage Late 1940s 1950s light gray wool flannel overcoat (size 40 Reg - 42 Reg) Film Noir Swing Art DecoUp for sale is this exceptionally well-preserved late 1940s early 1950s overcoat by Imperial Velour (It has no size marking but it measures to a 40 - 42 Reg). The fabric is very thick wool flannel cloth that will serve well in very cold weather. It is cut in a sack style with a three button closure, moderate shoulder padding, side patch pockets, a partial lining, and a single rear vent. It has one interior pocket. This may be an antique but it is very sturdy and should stand lots of wear. This is a stunning example of mid-century menswear in very nice condition. The color is light gray.Historically, these coats were worn with a loose fit over a suit. To wear over a jacket or a suit it is a 40 Reg. According to modern measurements it is a 42 Reg.
