Description: Vintage 1915 Cyma Tavannes WW1 Military Solid Sterling Silver 36mm Trench Mens Watch A wonderful vintage Tavannes (Cyma) solid silver trench watch that is not working and requires a service before use as the balance wheel is loose and I believe the winding crown is incorrect for the watch. The movement has a US patent stamped to it that was for the Tavannes Cyma watch company. The watch case is fully hallmarked with makers mark for the Dennison Watch Company, Birmingham, 1915 which places it's production to the beginning of the 1st world war. The case has a Borgel inspired (and probably is) screw on front and back covers. The black ceramic face has some hairline cracks and is missing its subsidiary seconds hand, the glass crystal has some faint scratches in places, the crown comes loose from the body. It is quite a large trench watch measuring approx 36mm diameter excluding the, the lugs fit a 12mm strap, the strap fitted is 14mm wide Please view photos carefully as they form part of the description Please view my other listings
