Item Description VOX VBW-3500 A modern reproduction of the teardrop bass that made VOX indispensable in the British music scene in the late 1960s. A lightweight semi-acoustic bass that follows the teardrop design that is synonymous with VOX bass guitars. The semi-hollow structure combines a hollow body carved from solid mahogany with a maple top to suppress howling while producing a boxy sound. The neck uses a five-layer structure of three layers of maple and two layers of walnut, creating a narrow yet strong neck. The pickup uses Alnico material and is equipped with VOX's original bass pickup, which has a vintage style yet has the power and sound that can be used in the modern music scene. It is specially designed to match the VBW series, including the number of turns. The pickguard, control panel, and pickup escutcheon are made of chrome-plated metal, just as they were back in the day. The top of the body is made of flame maple. Painted finish that takes advantage of wood grain and wooden binding specifications.
