Description: This exquisitely restored vintage 1960 Voice of Music 306 is a portable, 4 speed, fully automatic stacking record player with auto shutoff. The original one tube amplifier has been upgraded to three tubes to allow the use of a modern ceramic stereo cartridge for improved sound and increased volume. The 5 inch speaker produces surprisingly good sound. Included is a 45 RPM adapter that has been rebuilt and works well. Restoration process:Phonograph was completely disassembled. CaseAll old covering material, grill cloth and hardware removed.Case repaired to be structurally sound . Expertly re-covered with high quality Tolex. This is the same material that is used on custom guitar amp cabinets.All new brass plated hardware: hinges, latches, side feet and handle straps.
