Vntg Wood Dove Tail Box w/lid Atlantic Yellow Enamel Chalk Crayon Binney & Smith

Description: This vintage rough-sawn wooden dovetailed box appears to include most (if not all) of the pieces of the original yellow chalk (we haven't pulled them all out, but it looks like most or all of them are whole), and what we assume to be the original sawdust the chalk was packed in. It belonged to my schoolteacher mother, and it is from the 1950s. This is a sweet box with front panel advertising and a top slide cover. You can use up the chalk, and then use this great box for office items, etc. It measures approximately 6-7/8" x 4-1/2" and stands approximately 4" tall. The box is sturdy, with some cracks, chinks, etc. in the wood (see pictures.) Be sure to carefully examine all pictures using the zoom feature, as they are an integral part of the description and show exactly what you will be purchasing. Returns are accepted in same condition as received by buyer, but buyer pays shipping both ways.
