Description: For sale is this vintage Snow & Nealley Hudson Bay style axe, weighing 2lbs. 6.4 oz. overall, with its original 17-7/8" wooden handle. Unsigned, the head measures 6-7/16" long, with a 3-3/4" wide edge, and a 1-1/8" X 1-3/4" poll. The edge is good and will respond well to honing and sharpening by a experienced hand. The poll shows some use and wear, as pictured. The original handle, signed "Snow & Nealley Bangor, Maine", is loose, and has a 2" long split at the heel, taped by a previous owner, as shown in the last three{3} pictures. Any honing, sharpening, and minimal cleaning, and detailing is left up to you.
