Design by Fabrizio Silvestrelli, the fruit of a collaboration with a respected Italian knifemaker. His designs are characterized by rounded liner and handle shapes. The Turn Essential exudes Italian style and solid construction. It is equipped with an advanced Back-Lock mechanism and is the only one with this locking mechanism to feature a design that uses ball bearings to ensure smooth blade rotation. M390 Microclean® - the highest quality modern tool steel. Manufactured using powder metallurgy technology with extremely high corrosion and abrasion resistance. High-chromium steel with a chromium (Cr) content of 20.0% and vanadium (V) content of 4.0%. Hardened in the range of 59-61 HRC. The steel has undergone vacuum and cryogenic treatments and double tempering. Manufactured at the Böhler-Uddeholm steelworks in Austria. Blade - Clip Point type with clearly marked belly highlights the elegant satin finish of the blade. The small thickness of the blade, combined with a high, flat grind, gives us cutting properties almost on the level of a razor. A ball bearing system aids smooth and quick one-handed opening of the blade with Thumb Studs located on the sides of the blade. The notched thumb ramp support on the back of the blade (spine jimping) makes the knife easier to use. Handle - made of Natural Canvas Micarta (pressure-pressed canvas with synthetic resin), textured to improve grip confidence, is bolted to the knife's steel frame. The simple, secure design gives assurance of many years of use. A fore finger groove improves grip confidence. The folder is equipped with a right-side single-position deep-carry clip made of titanium, allowing to carry the knife in tip-up (tip up) position. Above the clip is a lanyard hole, a hole for a belay cord.
