Description: Vintage Zuni Sterling Silver Blue Needlepoint Turquoise Cross With 18in Necklace. This beautiful dainty sterling silver and blue turquoise cross was handcrafted by a Zuni artisan. The five needle point turquoise stones are nestled into sawtooth bezel settings. Between the stones are sterling silver raindrops. The cross comes with an 18" long sterling silver box chain with a spring ring closure. The cross measures .75" wide by 1.25" long including the bail. The necklace is marked "sterling" and "925" along with a maker's mark. The cross has no stampings or hallmark, which is common for older pieces. It did test as sterling silver. This vintage Zuni sterling silver and turquoise cross with 18" sterling silver chain is in very good condition, as shown in the photos. It may have some minor surface wear and age-appropriate oxidation. It has not been professionally cleaned so as not to compromise the beauty of the natural patina.
