Description: This a quite rare Standard Cell which was made by Leeds & Northrup. They used an Eppley Labs "H" glass vial. There is a very tiny split in the wood on the top rear corner. Please see last picture. It measures 3 5/8" x 3 1/2" x 1 1/2". This unit has been tested and outputs perfectly. For some reason it states "DO NOT CONNECT TO VOLTMETER", which I find odd. Never have seen a warning like that on one of these cells. I'm guessing that is because voltmeters back then were not high impedance like they are today. Anyway, this is a rare piece to add to your collection.
