Vintage West German Mercedes Grey Slate Winding Mechanical Mantle Clock

Description: WHAT YOU ARE BUYING? 💚 a stunning, sort after vintage grey coloured slate case mid last century, west German made, mechanical mantle clock. Made under the Mercedes name (not the car manufacturer). Beautiful classic column design, gilded metal inlaid dial details, very stylish piece, winding movement, glass covered dial, winds at back. We have tested this over a couple of days, as working. There is a knob missing that moves hands, an easy fix. We have moved the hands with tweezers acting as a replacement knob. There are no issues with the function of the hands. We would recommend full overhaul and clean, plus possible repair, we are unsure if keeps accurate time or is completely reliable long term. We would also recommend the case to receive some gentle cleaning. Piece is unusual item with no major case damage, some discolouration and a few minor scratches, will polish out and clean up, as shown. Does have a few scratches and some wear to face, again visible in photos. Please only buy if happy with what you see in photos. Would suit a minor restoration project. Lovely classic style piece, looks very striking and beautiful quality.
