Description: Beautiful late 1940s, 1950 vintage wedding gown with an impressive long train. For a smaller women. The 4 scalloped bodice has an acetate lining with a pretty sheer lace overlay. Aurora sequins across the top part of the bodice and puff shoulders and around the back. The dramatic stand-up collar also has sequins on the top side. (The soft colors in the sequins do not come across in the photos) A full skirt section with 2 layers underneath the soft lace - one is a fine soft netting, and the bottom layer is satin. Back zipper below the fine netting. A clasp closes the very top at the back neck. The sleeves are sheer lace. Bust is 32 inches with the armpit to armpit measure of 30 inches. Waist is 26 inches. Hips are free. Length from the shoulder to the waist of the skirt is 13 inches and 14 inches to the drop seam. Shoulder seam to seam is 12-1/2 inches across and the shoulder edge to edge (puff edge) is 17-1/2 inches across. Sleeve is 20 inches long to the wrist and to the angled edge at the end it’s 22 inches. 7 lace covered buttons at bottom of the sleeve. Length in the front is 55 inches. The train is 102 inches long. Wonderful condition. She needs a cleaning: dirt at the very bottom of the satin hem line and some very small yellow spots on the inside of the lining, so they are not seen at all. Otherwise, no issues. Purchased from the original owner who was married in 1950. Mannequin measurements are: 34 / 24-1/4 / 35 inches. The dress is too small for the mannequin.
