Description: Vintage Vornado Floor Fan Model 38SD 1-1 Two Speed 12” Blades Working Condition I hate to say it but this appears to be somewhat “rare” item. There’s a lot of eBay sellers that love the word “rare” as I see listings all time using that descriptor when there’s 12 to 15 other items that are exactly alike, if I have a dozen choices for the same item it’s not “rare”. When researching this fan on eBay and Google the only one I found was on Worthpoint. So apparently they are not a dime a dozen. This is a working fan that on high speed blows like crazy with the low speed providing a nice breeze. Also this fan is something of a beast as it weighs approximately 21 pounds. The blades are 12” across with a width of 17” and measuring 21” tall. There’s a fair amount of rust and dirt. The construction is primarily of metal with a plastic grill. That grill has a crack that has been taped. I’ve oiled the motor which is something that should be done every three months using standard motor oil, and because I use Mobil 1 in my cars I’ve used the good stuff for the fan. Please be aware that shipping will be costly as the fan is quite large and heavy.
