Description: Very nice vintage violin, needs some help to get it back to playing nicely. The arch of the front and back has not contracted. It has a nice bookmatched flamed maple back and sides with diamond cleats. It has a beautiful scroll and a bone or ivory tailpiece. There is a bow included that I believe is many years newer, I could be wrong. The coffin case is the coolest case I’ve ever seen. Definitely old European, though I have no clue where it was actually made. A few paper sleeves from strings are inside the case, much newer but still marked M. Germany. Made in West Germany. I am starting this as a buy it now, if it doesn’t result in a sale I’ll list it as a traditional auction. Internal photos added showing the post and flamed sides and back.
