Description: Vintage Unitype Large 4 Inch Enamel Sign Church Black & White Graphic Letter This listing is for one Letter L These are awesome largest size 4 inch Unitype Letters. These is a white/cream letter on a black background. There are so many amazing creative ways to use these letters for signage in your home or business and as unique gift ideas. To date I have found nothing about this brand and company and I have tried to research at length; I will update listing if I ever do! These letters are generally known to have been used on church bulletin boards outside and inside; there is a small lip on them to hang/insert. These are all believed to date from the 1950’s-1960’s and earlier; any letter you receive will have the Unitype maker logo on the back. I have found a back with a patent date of December 25, 1923!! That’s amazing they have been around since the 1920’s! The back logos are sometimes different colors I’m guessing related to size, color, or manufacturing date; if I solve that riddle I’ll update description. These are all believed to be steel (versus aluminum) lithographed letters with oven baked enamel. All letters, zero-9, exclamation, and ampersand are available in separate listings in the four sizes of unitype. I am searching for additional stock of 4” white letters on black.
