Vintage Un-Opened Marksman 740 bb gun 177 pellet air rifle 1977

Over 20 years ago a family who owned a sporting goods store many miles from where I lived (which was closed since the 1970's) opened their doors and allowed a couple folks to purchase some of their new old stock inventory. I wasn't one of the lucky persons invited into the "Time Capsule", but my buddy was. One of the main items I purchased from my friend afterwards were some of these Vintage Un-Opened Marksman 740 bb gun 177 pellet air rifles made back in the 1970's. This is a break-open spring piston type with metal sights.The stock is made of plastic but looks like real wood at a glance. You can purchase either the opened one or an unopened (sealed) box. I opened one box to show its contents. I put one together at that time and I do remember there is one plug you need to drill out, per instructions. MADE IN THE GOOD OLE' USA. One of my purchasers was kind enough to send me pictures he took. (Better than mine) :) :) Please look at our feedback from other buyers who bought and received this item from us. Shoots both bb's and 177 pellets...I'd use new ones. I hope this BB gun takes some folks down memory lane. I kept them high a dry for over 20 years. As shown the vintage paper inside the closed box faded a bit but readable.
