Description: Vintage Traditional Alpine Austrian 835 Silver & Garnet Designer Heart Necklace A masterfully executed and decorated designer piece, this stunning necklace features an ornate center piece that is attached to a solid chain link necklace. The center piece is made in the shape of a heart with a gilt center adorned with a prong set deep red garnet gemstone. A little garnet is pending from the bottom of the heart. This design is traditional of the Alpine region and would be worn as part of traditional attire. The necklace measures 16" and the center piece itself 15/8" wide x 1" high. Total weight is 6 grams. On the clasp ring, it is stamped "835" for a European Silver Standard of 83.5% and carries an unidentified Austrian designer mark. Excellent vintage condition. Stunning and unusual vintage piece!
